Payment Terms

All projects through CleverLight require payment prior to those services being delivered. Any payment terms in your proposal or agreement shall override these terms of service. CleverLight provides a variety of services, each with their own payment terms. See below to determine which payment terms is applicable to your project or contact your dedicated CleverLight representative.

Website Projects

Based on CleverLight’s Transparent Pricing Model, an initial deposit of $3750 is due for any website design project. After the Client Intake meeting and sitemap are finalized, any pages over the included 10 pages will be invoiced at $200/page and is due prior to starting the design phase. If the project includes Ecommerce, an additional $2000 will be invoiced with your website deposit. The final payment is due when the website enters the pre-launch phase.

CleverLight reserves the right to not launch or transfer a project until final payment has been received.

Print Projects

A 50% deposit of the project price is due prior to project commencement. The final balance shall be due before the press files are delivered to the client. Print projects do not include fulfillment of the physically printed product. Upon request, CleverLight will provide a quote for fulfillment and this payment is due, in full, before the order is sent to fulfillment. Original Art Files are owned by CleverLight. Managed WordPress Hosting

Hosting services are provided on a monthly or annual basis. All hosting clients will require a credit card on file and will be billed each month or year depending on their billing preferences.

Billing Failures

CleverLight understands that credit card information can become out of date and that a billing cycle may fail. In this circumstance, CleverLight will reach out to the client to update their billing information. If the billing information cannot be updated within 30 days of payment processing failure, the website will be suspended until such time that the information is updated. Any website suspended for 60 days or longer shall be removed from our servers and require a reinstallation fee of $500 to bring the website back online.

Cancelling Hosting Services

A client may elect to cancel hosting services at any time prior to their renewal simply by emailing their account representative. CleverLight will provide the client with a downloadable copy of their website prior to deleting the website from its servers after 30 days. CleverLight cannot assist with the transfer or installation of the website into another hosting platform and any support or maintenance agreements for the website shall also be cancelled. Once the downloadable files are provided, CleverLight will maintain a copy of the website for a period of 1 year in case of any client emergency.

CleverLight BOSS Program

Content Marketing Services are provided on a monthly basis with a minimum 6 month initial agreement. All BOSS clients will require a credit card on file and will be billed each month on their renewal. This program will auto renew each month unless cancelled by the client.

Billing Failures

CleverLight understands that credit card information can become out of date and that a billing cycle may fail. In this circumstance, CleverLight will reach out to the client to update their billing information. If the billing information cannot be updated within 7 days of payment processing failure, services shall be suspended.

Cancelling BOSS Services

The initial agreement for all BOSS clients is 6 months. After this period, the service auto renews on a month to month agreement. CleverLight requires a 60 day notice to cancel BOSS Services as this program runs 1 month in advance to ensure proper scheduling of client social posts.

Refund Policy

CleverLight does not offer refunds on any project or service. Any payments made to CleverLight are non-refundable as our team invests considerable time and effort prior to any project commencement.

Project Abandonment Policy

In extremely rare cases, clients will stop answering emails or not return calls regarding their in-progress project. CleverLight shall make every effort to contact and communicate with the client in order to complete their project. Should a client exceed 90 days of non-communication, the project shall be considered abandoned and any payments made shall be non-refundable. As CleverLight does adjust its project pricing from time to time, should the client reappear after 90 days, they will be given a new project quote to continue their project. CleverLight may, at its sole discretion, credit a portion of any payments received from an abandoned project to the new project price.
